The Lake

Where watersports meets wildlife

Life’s better by the water and at the edge of the ancient forest, you’ll find the idyllic Bluestone lake. Bursting with wildlife and activity throughout the year, it’s a beautiful place for a walk, cycle or just to sit and enjoy a quiet few minutes in serenity.

Welcome To The Lake

Bluestone's lake is nestled at the corner of the woodland and just a short stroll from the village.

Surrounded by lodges, and away from the hub of the village, it offers the antithesis of our activity zones and is the perfect place to spend some quiet time.

Cycle or Stroll

You can walk around the edge of the entire lake and with benches along the way, there are a few quiet spots to steal a few quiet moments.

The path is wide enough to fit bikes too, just remember there might be animals crossing!

Life On The Riverbank

You won't be completely alone though. Look out for the ducks nestled in the banks or waddling across your path and if you’re here at the right time of year there are tadpoles just under the surface.

You might even be lucky enough to see our shy rabbits, who can be found hopping around the banks.

Watersports

Getting paddling! From Easter to September, you can try a range of different watersports out on the lake. Not only are they lots of fun, but there's also plenty of room to make a splash.

Kayaking

Harness your paddle power as you glide around the lake.

Paddleboarding

Kneel, lie, stand or just stay on the board!

Water and Wildlife

Whether it's a paddle, an evening stroll, a relaxing few minutes sat in the sunshine, or all of it - there's always a reason to head down to the beautiful lake during your visit. Make sure to look out for our friendly feathered residents as well!
