What it's like to work at Bluestone
Many people who stay with us, tell us the really special thing about Bluestone that makes a real difference to the enjoyment of their stay is the people.
We’ve always believed that if we want to create lasting memories for our guests then our staff must be engaging, friendly, and full of interesting information. From the moment you arrive, they make you feel comfortable, entertained, and cared for. You can train on technical skills but you can’t beat people who have a passion for their field. Our staff genuinely likes to talk to guests, share information, and help people.
One Big Family
With over 500 members of staff at Bluestone, we are learning every day of new ways to invest in our people! To date, we have helped staff across the business to gain professional qualifications while also developing our own in-house training courses that everyone can benefit from.
To make Bluestone the best it can be we work with the best! Terry John our local historian guides special walks around the resort introducing guests to the history of the parish that Bluestone was built on while Paul Ratcliffe grows our miscanthus - the plant that is burned in our biomass centre that generates the energy used to warm the Blue Lagoon Water Park and Adventure Centre - believed to be a world first!
All work and no play? No way!
Here at Bluestone, we love to have fun! Whether we are taking part in our very own Great British Bake Off, testing our limits in the local Iron Man (the brave few not all of us!), or dressing up and raising money as a team.
