Bluestone named Tourism and Hospitality Business of the Year
Bluestone National Park Resort near Narberth, Pembrokeshire has been named Tourism and Hospitality Business of the Year.
The accolade was revealed at the Swansea Bay Business Awards on Thursday (3rd March 2016) when Operations and Commercial Director, Pamela McNamara and her team collected the award from former Wales rugby international, Jonathan Davies and dedicated to the hard work of Bluestone’s employees.
The award goes to a business that is specifically involved in tourism or the hospitality industry and can demonstrate how it has increased visitor numbers and contributed to the marketing popularity of the region as a destination for holidays, short breaks, or business events.
“This is a great accolade for Bluestone and for Pembrokeshire and for our amazing staff and team who work hard to ensure the success of the business,” said Pamela.
“We place a high level of investment into staff training and development as we understand the importance of this in creating a place that people want to return to and enjoy their hard-earned holidays.
“It not only demonstrates the high levels of service, accommodation, and activities that we offer our guests from throughout the UK and beyond but endorses our approach to promoting West Wales and Pembrokeshire as part of our marketing and PR.”
Pamela added: “We know our guests are attracted to the spectacular countryside and communities we have here and that is why it’s important for us to shout about all that is good about the region in our approach, placing Pembrokeshire and West Wales firmly on the holiday destination map.”
Over 200 people attended the Swansea Bay Business Awards, which was organised by the South Wales Evening Post and PwC.
